NICOLE MARTIN
Founder, Chair of the Board
A native Oregonian, Nicole moved to the east coast for her Master’s degree in 2004 and has officially been a West Virginian since 2013. Throughout her life, she has volunteered and worked within various environments and cultures to foster self-confidence and healing. She cares deeply about people and their wellbeing. As a counselor and yoga teacher/therapist, Nicole believes that every person deserves an opportunity to access holistic treatment and personal empowerment. Having the opportunity to unite with brilliant and passionate women to bring accessible healing practices to the Mid-Ohio Valley brings her much hope and pleasure. You can see Nicole around town running with her dog, Bear, playing in the park with her two sons and husband, and sitting around drinking coffee and reading books.
LEACHELLE MOORE
Vice Chair of the Board
Leachelle grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia, PA. She came to the MOV for college in 2004, and, after getting a degree in Elementary Education, she decided to stay! She and her husband have 5 children together and enjoy getting outside in the beautiful natural setting this area offers for adventures and exploration. As a survivor of abuse turned advocate, Leachelle has found that sharing our stories and holding space for others to do the same can bring love and healing to everyone involved. She is passionate about holistic health and growth and was thrilled to join this team of strong women doing good work in caring for others. When she is not homeschooling her children, Leachelle enjoys reading, spending time with her friends, learning about wild edible plants and getting to know herself and other humans better.
SAM METZ

A Mid-Ohio Valley native, Sam currently resides in Belpre with her dog Poppy. Sam holds an undergraduate degree in Human Services and a Master's in Organizational Leadership. Sam is the Director of Student Financial Services at Marietta College. When she is not working, Sam is a passionate activist committed to advocating for social justice in whatever way she can. She is excited to be a part of Good To You as she believes all people should have access to holistic wellness practices that will improve their lives. Sam enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to podcasts, painting, rollerblading, traveling, reading, and walking with Poppy.
KATELYN HICKMAN
Secretary
Katelyn hails from Texas but has loved West Virginia for the last 15 years. She has lived in many beautiful places, including Denver, Colorado, and Austin, Texas, but has found that the peace and tranquility of the Mid-Ohio Valley puts her heart at ease. In 2021, Katelyn, along with her husband David and their two daughters, decided to relocate permanently to be closer to family and now call Belpre home. She has enjoyed building a network of friends and family whose aim is to help others and build up a stronger community in the Mid-Ohio Valley. You can currently find Katelyn teaching aerobics and Pilates classes at the YMCA of Parkersburg, exploring local parks and trails with her daughters or volunteering in the community. When asked to join the board for Good to You, she leapt at the opportunity, happy to find a constructive outlet for her time and talents. She enjoys reading, exercise, cooking and baking, and has been known to throw together a pretty good charcuterie board now and then.
